Simone Kermes is one of the most distinctive vocal artists of her generation. Her exceptional virtuosity, expressive intensity and unmistakable stage presence have made her an internationally celebrated performer. She appears at major opera houses and concert halls worldwide – from New York and Sydney to Madrid, Lisbon and the Theater an der Wien.
The concert stage lies at the heart of her artistic work. Simone Kermes creates her own musical projects and concept albums, taking responsibility for their complete artistic conception and production. Moving freely beyond stylistic boundaries, she brings together Baroque and Classical music, opera, film music, pop and crossover to form a vivid and timeless musical language. Her recordings regularly reach top positions in both the classical and pop charts.
Her 2026 album “La Luce” marked the beginning of a new artistic chapter. Its deeply personal selection spans the Baroque era to film music and brings together works that have accompanied her throughout her career. “La Luce” is both a retrospective and a new departure – a musical statement about light, transformation and inner truth.

Also in 2026, Simone Kermes made her directorial debut with George Frideric Handel’s “Alcina” at the Lübeck University of Music. Her production united voice and stage, interpretation and dramatic action, combining her extensive musical experience with a new visual perspective. Working with the young singers became an essential part of her artistic vision.
Simone Kermes has received numerous major awards, including the Mendelssohn Prize and the Bach Prize. She was honoured with the Echo Klassik as “Singer of the Year” and received a further Echo Klassik for “Opera Recording of the Year”. She was also awarded the prestigious Russian opera prize “The Golden Mask” for Mozart’s “Così fan tutte”.
In 2017, she founded her own orchestra, Amici Veneziani, as well as the artist agency Arcadia Musica GmbH. These ventures combine artistic independence with entrepreneurial responsibility and enable her to create projects bearing her personal signature.
As a mentor at the HMT Leipzig and through international masterclasses, she is deeply committed to supporting the next generation of singers and artistic personalities. Her new immersive format “Voce di Luce” opens another dimension of her work, creating a space in which voice, breath, vibration and silence become a deeply personal experience.
Today, Simone Kermes represents an art in constant evolution – as a singer, director, mentor, entrepreneur and creator of new musical worlds.
